Just playing with the alesis vortex keytar i got at a garage sale for practically nuttin'. The guitar synth is revitar. And i ran it through amplitude. Timings a off and it sound fake. Okay if the sound you're going for is a drunk robot, i got you covered. Actually, i think a keytar and a good guitar synth would actually be pretty sweet. Best garage sale find ever. This is the sound of the short part of guitar strings plucked over the headstock, between the nut and tuning pegs. They do not make for any particular sounds, harmonies or melodies, just random tones which may be used for some sound design, noises, jingles etc. I recorded this for my own purposes (game sfx) with 3 different guitars (see the other 2 files as well) and thought i would share it with anyone who may find it useful - if you do, please help yourself and enjoy! ;).

Lowest string (f1, gauge 0. 74) playing again, but this time with heavy distortion and no reverb. There is some barely noticeable noise towards the end, picked up by the guitar pickups. Djenty, almost bass guitar stringish tone.

I thought that i would record some slide playing on my acoustic guitar, and then cut the entire thing down to make up some licks and notes that people can use. I have used noise reduction, because there was some noise.

Electric guitar, minimal distortion based on c sharp with an almost power chord like single note performance until the break.

Moving notes back and forth, some harmonics and messy notes to keep you guessing, clean tones.

Simple type of riff with some flange and vibrato/noise. Low gain type of distortion. Sorta random chords type of playing which would probably work broken up into smaller sections. Gets nasty at the end.
